Dad in California Profited from Selling Teen Daughter’s Nude Photos Online, Police Say

A California man is facing serious charges after it was discovered that his 16-year-old daughter made $40,000 selling nude photos of herself online. Scott Davis, 46, was taken into custody on November 15 after El Dorado County Sheriff’s detectives carried out a search warrant at his residence. The department’s Sex Crimes Detectives and High Tech Sex Crimes Unit began investigating the teen’s online dealings in August. The investigation revealed that the girl had a well-known online presence on various social media platforms and sold nude photos of herself, making a significant amount of money.

Davis was complicit in his daughter’s illegal activity and had shared in the profits. He has been charged with aggravated child abuse, human trafficking of a minor, procuring a minor for a sex act, pimping for a prostitute over 16, intimidation in using a minor for obscene matter, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with knowledge of the case is urged to come forward.

Davis is currently being held on $4 million bail, and it is unknown whether he has retained an attorney at this time. The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Department could not be reached for further details on the case. The case brings to light the disturbing issue of minors engaging in illegal activities online, and it serves as a reminder for parents to be vigilant and aware of their children’s online activities.
