The holiday season in Calif. City is in full swing, with a variety of festive events and activities for the community to enjoy. On December 1st, the annual Holiday Village in Central Park lit up the evening from 5-8pm, attracting several people despite the cold weather. The festivities began with the lighting of the Christmas tree at city hall, followed by an evening of fun at Central Park with Christmas music, caroling, and even a surprise visit from Santa.
In addition to the Holiday Village, there were other events planned in the city. Alta-One Federal Credit Union hosted a Drive Thru Toy Drive, where people could donate new unwrapped toys from 5-7pm. The toys will be distributed to children on December 9th at the Strata Center, along with holiday food boxes for the first 50 families in attendance. This event was sponsored by the Safe Havens Kids League of Calif. City.
Furthermore, the Marine Corps Toys for Tots Giveaway is scheduled to take place on December 9th at the Arts Center, providing more opportunities for the community to come together and spread holiday cheer. And on December 16th, the Wreaths Across America ceremony will be held at the Calif. City Cemetery, offering a meaningful way to honor and remember veterans during the holiday season.
Overall, the city of Calif. City is embracing the holiday spirit with a range of activities and events for families and the community to enjoy, making it a wonderful time of year for all.
